Deep Fried Cheese Curds

Not long ago we wrote an article about cheese curds.  To follow up, here is a great deep fried cheese curd recipe.  If you like cheese sticks, you’ll love deep fried cheese curds!

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1 pound cheese curds
1 quart oil for frying

Here’s how you make them:

In a medium sized bowl, sift together your flour, baking powder and salt. Then stir in your eggs and milk until you have a smooth mixture. Finally, add more milk for a thinner batter then coat your cheese curds with the batter.

Now, heat the oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Drop in your coated cheese curds and fry each curd for approximately 1 minute or until golden brown. Once your curd is fried to perfection, drain on a paper towel and enjoy!
