HEALDVILLE, VT. Crowley Cheese Company, Inc., Vermont, the country’s oldest cheese factory, resumed sale of its traditional, artisanal cheese. Cheese is now available for sale at the historic Crowley Cheese Factory in Healdville, Vermont, and on the company’s website.

Crowley was forced to suspend production last year, during the economic downturn. Crowley’s re-launch has been facilitated by new lead investors, Galen and Jill Jones. Galen, a management consultant, is applying his experience and expertise in strategic planning, finance, and operations to Crowley’s production and operations. Jill, a former marketing executive, is taking the lead on revitalizing Crowley’s sales and marketing efforts.

Founded in 1824, Crowley is handmade using all-natural ingredients and no automation.

Here’s the rest of the press release and a nice article written by the Rutland Herald.
